At this time, Reverend Gant was busy looking for a place to have Worship services. Finally, he retained the Conference room in the Airport Inn (Formerly Howard Johnson Hotel; now Chester Days Inn) located at Providence & Edgmont Avenue, Chester, PA.
First Service. Sunday 20, 2000, at 10:45 am. Reverend Calude Davis gave the Call to Worship, Reverend Gant preached a profound Word from God: "Shall We Advance or Retreat," Sister Janice Glass provided musical ministry, and communion was served. The Ministry remained at the Airport Inn until April 2000 as it steadily grew then moved to 9th and Sproul Streets, Chester, PA.
On July 9, 2000 the Ministry lost its Founder/Pastor, Reverend Doctor Norman E. Gant, Sr. as the Lord called him home to glory! God already had in his plans the next shepherd to lead the sheep---Reverend Robert Clark who was voted as Pastor August 2000.
January 2001,Reverend Robert L. Clark petitioned the members to convert the Ministry to an official Church. Members of the Ministry unanimously voted the Ministry would become Victory Over the World Baptist Church.
February 2001, legal documents were acquired Incorporating Victory Over the World Baptist Church and Church By-Laws were implemented. Along with a new name, the congregation moved to a new location known as "the cabin" at 501 Yarnall Street, Chester, PA. As time passed, overflows in Sunday School and services was evidence of God's readiness to take Victory to another level by enlarging our territory.
December 2005, Victory purchased a home of our own 2609 West 4th & Wilson Street in Chester, PA. In 2006 Official Demolition and Construction of the building began. Construction in the Main Sanctuary was completed November 2010 and Certificate of Occupancy was obtained December 2010.
Sunday;December 20, 2010 was the first service in our New Sanctuary. Phase II of constructions will start in 2021 as we continue to build the Kingdom of God by the Gospel (Death, Burial, and Resurrection) of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
To God be the Glory for all the GREAT Things He has done!
